Cele and I celebrated Thanksgiving at Sharon and Mike's this year. We had a wonderful large family gathering of not only our California family, but we were so happy to have our grandchildren in Oregon down with their families and our great grandson Noa (who's in college in Arizona) join us. Mom had a wonderful birthday thanks to family and friends from the east coast to Hawaii. She had surprises all day between wakeup bagel, coffee and manicure from Sharon, flowers, balloons, phone calls throughout the day, skype video chat with her nieces in New York (small picture below that I captured during the skype chat), to a surprise dinner party at her own home. It took some serious coordination to get her to a hair appointment so we could move in with the decorations and food, but it worked! To keep the surprise, well, a surprise, dad was surprised too and he was a big help during the evening. After birthday cake and presents, the elves cleaned up and left the smiling birthday girl (with her adoring husband of 68 years next month) who could feel the love from those near and far. Thank you to all for making her day so memorable!!
